The area even has its own ski resort just 25 minutes' drive away up the Mont Ventoux, the Mont Serein village. Last season it was open non-stop from January to April.
Only ten minutes to the beautiful town of Vaison-la-Romaine, a picturesque mix of historical features from its elevated mediaeval cité, to its famous Roman bridge and amphitheatre, where concerts are held, featuring anything from ballet to opera to rock bands, through the summer.
Vaison's Tuesday market attracts people from far and wide, with eclectic stalls of all manner of Provençal products taking over most of the centre of town.
